OHMYGOD!!!

Look what the well built chap in black leathers with the motorcycle just delivered to my prestigious corner office! What an amazing way to start the week. I always find it such an anticlimax when they take off their helmets though, don't you?

I have asked Lydia to post an image of my book cover on the blog, and toss the A5 mock up behind a cupboard, I can't have anyone finding out who I am now, can I? The book will be published next April (2008), by The Friday Project!

This is just so exciting! I think I shall go home and lie down... I can feel one of my heads coming on. How will she ever get those tyre marks off the carpet?

OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD! It looks absolutely AMAZING! Congratulations Dulwich Mum!!! But now we all have to wait a whole 6 months before we can read it. It will be torture.

Fantastic!
Congratulations, what an amazing feeling you must have, so exciting.
Don't spontaeneously combust, you'll send Ana into labour!
I shall of course be ordering a copy.

Darling Ingeniousrose,

I am sure that no-one in Dulwich reads my blog, and they are far too busy in the City of London earning pots of cash to ever read a book (we are afterall only 15 minutes from Blackfriars via West Dulwich train station). So no-one will ever know! Hurrah!!!

What would happen if I sell the screen rights and secure a column in a broad sheet newspaper is entirely another matter though. Do you think I should have used a pen name? Oh dear...

Sweet Nunheadmumofone,

I had the boy wonder colour it in all afternoon, do you think he did a good job? I think my darling Max is gifted! Isn't Gavin Reece just the most talented of illustrators? I stood for an age with him sketching my hand...

Perfect Frog,

Indeed, we would hate anything negative to happen to Ana...

Hey, hey! Dulwich Mum! Look at you!!!!

I'm looking forward to reading it!

Indeed DM, their helmets are often the most impressive thing about them. Bike messengers, I mean...

Congratulations! Although I think you might be surprised by just how much your cover is blown. Just keep Rupert from googling the words 'Dulwich + mum' for a while...

Well done you!!! How absolutely thrilling. Am so pleased, and hope you make stacks and stacks of cash from it. Delighted.

Fabu! Cannot wait to read it.

Dearest Natural Blonde,

You are too kind.

Lovely Potty Mummy,

I have decided to limit all internet use at work. I am drawing up a policy rith now.

Sweet Omega Mum,

Obviously I am not writing the book for money, it is simply a form of self expression for me (ha, ha, ha)!.

Welcome PIJill!

Thank you so much and welcome.

Oh Dull Itch, how marvellous darling! Will it be applicable to we poor Northerners?

You star!!! What a lovely cover. What a clever title. I want to read this book as soon as possible! Many congratulations and all good luck.

Bravo you!

Echoing the earlier comment, it looks great in colour!

Dear Dulwichmum

Absolutely brilliant. Mille congratulations.

Oh darling @themill,

Why do you refer to me as "Dull Itch"? Can't you see, I am simply fabulous?

And as for will it be applicable to you Northerners... about a third of my hits come from Prestbury and Alderley Edge and Edinburgh - Dulwichmumbeingness is simply a state of mind (with slightly sagging ovaries! as Dulwichmums are always over 30).

Sweet Marianne,

Thank you darling friend.

Oh Motheratlarge sweetie,

Thank you so much, I have been having the best time writing it! I am glad you are back in Blogland!

Perfect Mr Keef!

Big Kiss to you!

Sweet Peckham Proletarian Mum,

Thank you so much. I am puzzled as to how I upset you in the summer. I really am an air head you know! Sorry.

Oh how proud you must be.....

Hope you make so much money that you become even more stinking rich than you already are!!

Oh but seriously - I'm thrilled for you and can't wait for April 2008 - please make sure the distributors send it here - I shall so enjoy waving around a copy and claim acquaintance with the author - so fits in with the Dubai celeb worship....

aha - not all dulwichers are beavering away in the city, rather beavering away over first taste purees and other fascinating baby matters!!

Dearest Dulwich Mum,
I just felt the need to 'de-lurk' for a minute to say how fabulous the book cover looks. I'm sure that's an emergency miniature I can see stashed away in one of the many side pockets of your lovely bag - or is it just me?
Can't wait for the book launch, and I hope I am still invited to the party. I promise not to laugh like a horse, or drink like a fish - but there's no guarantee that I won't try it the other way round.

Perfect Cherry,

For once, I don't know what to say!

Darling Debio,

Thank you so much, I shall ensure that you get a copy.

Sweet New Mum in town,

Welcome to my blog, and thank you for your kind works.

DRUNK MUMMY!!!

OHMYGOD!!! Now this is very special indeed. I shall reserve a bottle especially for you!

Wow and wow! The first wow is for your fabulous looking book, I do like the way they've brought the cheap handbag that is your icon through onto the front cover of your book. It does look very special, congrats to you!

The second wow...you made Drunk Mummy crack! she spoke to you...we knew she was there really!
Lots of big fat happy congrats, brilliant!

Darling PITK,

Clearly any bag that costs less than an grand is day wear, and just for fun. I had wanted them to use my super new bag - but no they insisted on my Mulberry Roxanne!

Lets bombard Drunkmummy with begging letters and see if she will come back?
