Happy Christmas

Is it just my darling munchkins or are your dear poppets never happy with what they get either? Grrr...

Ana (our perfect au pair) gave birth to a bouncing baby boy (3.24 kg) on Christmas morning at 08.10am. Mother and infant "Brad" are doing very well, the cherub is the image of his Samoan daddy (the children's trampoline instructor!!!) - THANK GOD FOR THAT!

Darling Dulwich Mum, three days after Christmas and my own ear poppet is asking for new toys. And to make matters worse there is another week of school holidays left. I am starting to understand the attraction of boarding schools!!

But did your Darling poppet receive her much demanded Butterscotch? Thanks to my overindulgent
father, my little princess has her own pony. And we have a pet without the vet bills and food expense.

School starts back in 5 days and counting down...

Oh perfect Ingenious,

You knowI consider boarding schools to be character building, but apparently we are still expected to accommodate the munchkins each holiday!

Lovely Britwannabe,

Indeed she did get her Butterscotch pony! Did you know they are interactive? You should have seen the effect it had on the other drivers as we scooted back down the M4 today - it was moving about alarmingly on our roof rack!

Dear Dulwichmum, life can be so dreadfully difficult! Chin up, my dear. And what splendid news about the baby's paternity. Those trampoline instructor boys just can't be trusted to behave themselves, can they?

I'd like to take this opportunity to wish you all the best for 2008 - may it be happy, peaceful and prosperous!

Darling Motheratlarge,

I really should have suspected earlier. This last few months have been hell - why do I torture myself so? I suffer terribly with my nerves... Can I put some ice in that for you?

And a jolly good new year to you too!

You are so right, darling dm. My own malechild received a very trendy wooden balance bike and has been asking me "where are the pedals" since xmas morning. He decided to get his own back this morning at Waitrose checkout; the lovely checkout lady (who looked like a regular church-goer, if you catch my drift) said "Hello young man" to which he replied "Sh*t is a naughty word"

And the mother of the year award goes to....
KERRY KATONA - thank the lord!!!

It's not that they aren't happy with what they get... It's just that Boy #1 prefers Boy #2's presents, and Boy #2 wants what Boy #1 got last year. Or whatever Boy #1 happens to be playing with at the time.

It's all so wearing, DM...

Oh Numberonescummum and Potty Mummy,

Lets just abandon the poppets in a local church porch and go skiing?

I think I may be rather drunk (hic)...

Ha,Ha, abandon the children here with me, I can put them all in a pen made from Big Bales, just like my piggies. They'll be warm and snug and won't be able to climb out...also I won't be able to hear them from the house!!

My children were perfect on Christmas Day, I'm proud to say. They were very lovely.

A Christmas baby! What joy - but what is this kg thing? (Just showing my age!). I shall assume that as the boy is bouncing then he is a 'good' weight.....

As for the munchkins presents; Christmas is such a time for discontentment - can't wait to get back to normal.

Tickets and limo booked - am heading UK-wards very shortly. Is this a good idea?

Lost my manners - along with my sanity....

Happy New Year!!!!!

Oh Dulwich Mum this post did make me laugh! Sorry I haven't visited in awhile - but have been madly busy. Am trying to keep my old blog up but have just started a new blog (http://childrenornot.blogspot.com to help motivate me write my self-help book - now I've got someone interested in the book proposal, I have to try to actually write the bloomin' thing!

Oh darling Froggie!

I shall send them straight over. I think they need the break from me just as much as I may need one from them...

Super Debio,

London is divine at the moment. It is perfect all the time actually. Happy New Year to you too dear heart!

Oh sweet Nunhead Mum of One,

I never thought it was the swimming instructor, I had placed the blame at a door much closer than that! I am indeed a shameful wife, and my own dear husband a king among men...

Perfect Beth,

Where was your lovely new blog when I needed it? (sigh)...
