Fairtrade Fortnight

I can be frightfully passionate in my efforts to support a good cause. Clearly this usually involves me getting dressed up to the nines and quaffing Champagne whilst spending stacks of my darling man’s lovely cash at an after dinner auction. I adore a good function at The Dorchester, don’t you?

It is currently Fairtrade Fortnight, and I was thinking;

how jolly now, how terribly current, how completely right on.”

As I filled my E-shopping basket with Fairtrade goods on the Ocado website this morning, it was about as glamorous as wearing a damn hairshirt (yawn). You can rely on me to find a decadent way to be virtuous...

I managed to feel positively sinful as I spent great wads of my man’s cash on Fairtrade goodies this afternoon! I have been filling my E shopping basket on this site with luxurious underwear, and OHMYGOD - it is organic too! James adores natural fibres, and it is all in support of the best cause. I just love the silky scanties on Greenknickers.org!

Organic skanties? Surely not...don't they have some 'witty' slogan or other on them? Have been doing my bit for the environment- DH has agreed to buy me only antique jewellry from now on. Well, it is receycling!

Oh Dulwich Mum, driving round in your polluting 4x4 Audi Q7wearing enviromentally friendly underwear? It doesn't quite add up darling, but A for effort!!

Darling, surely the ultimate in "eco-friendly" knickers would be not wearing any?

Just a thought from your pure, sweet and innocent cyber-sis!

I have to agree entirely with Nunhead...you know she just likes to go about in her shoes..

Kelly darling,

you are a saint! Why I may begin some of that recycling myself. I bought all of the silkey knickers with with the bows, none with the slogans... I am far too much of a lady!

Sweet Rosie,

Aren't I a dreadful hypocrite? Or is it simply that I consider my image far too much and am a touch superficial? Can I pop some ice in your drink?

Lovely Nunhead Mum of One,

What are you saying dear sister? You know that I always insist on tucking my vest into my knickers...

Perfect Aims,

And I thought that I was the only one who knew what NMoO got up to!

I'm worried that those huge bows on the organic undies will make lumps under your trousers. I think you should give them to your au pair to wear under her grey smock dress....

Perfect Rain,

I know where you are coming from, but they look so good when posing about the budior!

I'm afraid that the only place to buy fairtrade stuff around here is the co-op where it's actually quicker to grow your own coffee than queue at the checkout for it, but I suppose its' preferable to bio-degradable pants dulwichmum, I mean, edible underwear for vegans, what ever next, sigh

Darling dm, excuse my ignorance I'm more of a figleaves girl myself, but what exactly are those pantie-liner thingies on the greenknickers site? And why would you need one in a pair of boxers?

Darling Rilly,

They are not edible! The silken undergarments that I am currently sporting may be worn by vegans - but it is not essential. They are ethical and luxurious. I thought you would understand!

Sweet NumberOneScumMum,

I believe that cushioned appliance is for cycling about with. I never ever take exercise of that nature. Figleaves are about to stock Green Knickers - you soon you will be exposed to them on that site too!

I believe organic skanties are some very wholesome fish flavoured cereal, but I could be wrong.

OHMYGOD!!!

I don't actually possess any green knickers ...

Darling M&M,

They are more ethical than green actually. Do you possess any ethical underwear? It is very now.
